How Do Teachers Use Positive Youth Development to Personalize Learning?

On February 15, Springpoint’s manager of instruction and school design—Xochitl Garcia, hosted a webinar featuring three teachers from our partner schools.

Teachers included Shannon Trimble, a Social Justice teacher at Rhodes College and Career Academy; Stephanie Price, the lead English Language Arts teacher at Denver School of Innovation and Sustainable Design; and Gilmar Mejia, an English teacher at International High School at Largo.

Shannon, Gil, and Stephanie share their unique approach to positive youth development as a way to personalize learning in the classrooms. They also discuss the ways in which personalized learning practices deepening the positive youth development approach they are cultivating, demonstrating the mutually reinforcing nature of these two philosophies.
